A Refuge test arena: a wrapped mummy character and a startled tree creature on a tiled floor, framed by blue and red blocks, with a low-poly forest under a dusk sky.

Signing Up?!??

Sign up by December 1st, 2026 to be a part of our first test group. To sign up, follow the link at the bottom of this page and fill out an application with accurate information. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and acceptance or denial may come at any time, but no later than December 31st.

Playtesting is set to begin somewhere between November 2026 - February 2027, with the hopes of it beginning sooner rather than later. We need enough playtesters to make this demo testing a success.

What is required??

Nothing is required except a passion for playing games and giving thorough feedback.

A few things that indicate to us that you may be a strong candidate:

  • If you have playtested any other games and can provide any form(s) of proof of those experiences. Being familiar with playtesting and the unique skill sets acquired from playtesting is helpful to us as this is our first playtest… ever!
  • If you are observant, consistent, opinionated with a sound philosophy, etc… There are many skills and characteristics of a helpful playtester. Make sure to tell us your strongest ones in your application!
  • A True Veteran of Clash Royale (or other early Supercell games like Clash of Clans). If you have been playing for a decade+ and can substantially prove it in any way(s), this game is being designed for you, and you are likely more than welcome in our testing group if everything else lines up right.

So what are we testing, exactly?

In addition to gameplay and app performance in general…

The demo is testing:

  • Do players find the game mechanics intuitive?
  • Do players find that the mechanics make a fun addition to the “lane battler” genre?

In general: You will be helping test a demo version of Refuge, a Clash Royale style game I have been working on since January. There will be certain expectations of you to provide quality feedback. Feedback forms will likely be provided to you with guidelines and expectations stated.
